Construction Coordinator – Posted June 9, 2018

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Coordinator will:

  • Review all project-related invoices for accurate cost coding and adherence to appropriate payment terms
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end information for use by the accountant
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within budget
  • Ensure all trades are under trade-contractor agreements
  • Oversee the purchase and maintenance all office supplies and equipment; organize company meetings, trade/supplier events, and recognition programs

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Project Management or Office Management Experience
  • Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred

Key Responsibilities

Financial

  • Review and process all project-related invoices
  • Produce up-to-date project-by-project financial statements
  • Oversee payroll for Everton Ridge employees and payment for all trades/suppliers
  • Responsible for Bills of Materials (BOM) and other construction documentation

Construction Documentation

  • Update and maintain Builder-Trend (Project Management Software)
  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, oversee the bid management process
  • Submit permit applications

Office Management

  • Purchase office equipment and arrange for maintenance when needed
  • Oversee cell phone, internet, vehicle lease and insurance, and office building contracts
  • Organize company meetings, trade and supplier events, and coordinate travel for leadership team

Communication and Time Management

  • Work directly with customers, tradesmen, suppliers, interior designers, and sales/marketing professionals
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrates clear and professional communication skills

Performs other related duties as required

  • Strong PC skills in MS Office; Project Management Software experience an asset.
